About
Three generations of care, one calling
Krizza Lynne Rivera De Mesa was born in Manila into a family with three generations of medical professionals — her grandfather a respected internist, her mother a rehabilitation nurse. Dinner-table conversations about patient care shaped her earliest ambitions, and by high school she knew her calling lay in helping patients reclaim movement and independence.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Santo Tomas, graduating cum laude from one of the Philippines’ oldest rehabilitation science programs, and passed the national licensure examination on her first attempt — placing among the top examinees nationwide. Her faculty recognized her hospital internships at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital and the Philippine Orthopedic Center with the Dean’s Award for Clinical Excellence.
In more than a decade of practice since, she has devoted herself to the patients who need movement back the most: older adults, and people recovering from neurological injury and disease.
Expertise
Geriatric & neurological rehabilitation
Post-stroke motor re-education
Rebuilding strength, coordination, and gait after stroke — from bedside mobilization to walking unassisted, at a pace matched to each patient’s recovery.
Age-related functional decline
Structured programs that slow and reverse loss of strength and balance, keeping older adults active, safe, and independent at home.
Recovery after immobilization
Rehabilitation of muscular atrophy following prolonged bed rest, hospitalization, or major surgery — restoring what disuse has taken.
Movement disorders
Therapy for Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and peripheral neuropathy — managing tremor, rigidity, and balance so daily life stays within reach.
Vestibular rehabilitation
Certified treatment for dizziness and balance disorders, retraining the systems that keep patients steady on their feet.
Fall prevention for the elderly
Home-environment assessment and balance training, built on advanced fall-prevention coursework completed in Singapore and Japan.

Approach
Rehabilitation is as much about dignity as it is about movement
Individualized by design
No two recoveries are alike. Every program is built around the patient’s condition, goals, and pace — and revised as they progress.
Grounded in the home
Therapy integrates each patient’s actual home environment and family support, so gains in the clinic hold up in daily life.
Confidence alongside function
Patients told they might never walk unassisted again have returned to full, public lives. Restoring belief is part of the treatment.
Private practice
Trusted care, in complete confidence
Her reputation for clinical excellence and absolute discretion has made Mrs. De Mesa a trusted rehabilitation partner to some of the Philippines’ most prominent families — guiding senior statesmen, leading business figures, and veteran entertainers through recovery, from post-stroke rehabilitation to mobility restoration after major surgery. Client identities and treatment details are never disclosed.
Beyond private practice, she volunteers free mobility screenings for elderly residents of underserved barangays and mentors young physical therapy interns — because good rehabilitation should not be a privilege.
Consultations
Begin the road back to movement
New patients are accepted by referral and inquiry. An initial consultation covers medical history, a functional assessment, and a proposed program — at the clinic or in the comfort of the patient’s home.
